Rocket2U is a complete mobile notification service for cardholders of select prepaid cards. Rocket2U is currently designed to work with the UniBancard Prepaid MasterCard, a stored value prepaid card. The UniBancard Prepaid MasterCard may be used wherever MasterCard debit cards are accepted. Rocket2U lets cardholders manage their card accounts and share money card-to-card using their mobile phones.

The Rocket2U notification service uses text messaging to notify other authorized .cardholders using a mobile phone number with a Rocket Password for security. Rocket2U is linked to the prepaid card processor via mobile numbers with verification of the Rocket Password. The prepaid card processor then verifies the cardholder account number with MasterCard and manages the transaction based on the cardholder account balances at a master banking account (e.g., MetaBank for the UniBancard Prepaid MasterCard master account).

Even if a user is new to text messaging or uses it all the time, being able to share and receive money using Rocket2U is very easy. Users can also check their balance, review recent transactions or get help. And it works on virtually every phone with most mobile carrier services.

One of many cardholder advantages is one flat monthly service charge for unlimited Customer Service calls and unlimited Rocket2U messages. For the UniBancard Prepaid MasterCard the monthly service charge is $3.95/month. A sample cardholder transaction fee would be money sharing card-to-card which are $2.50/each, regardless of the transaction amount. The mobile carrier may have additional fees for text messaging based on the user’s service plan.
